The Jannali East Before and After School Care Program (JEBASC) is a not-for-profit, voluntary parent run service located within the main hall at the Jannali East Primary School. The JEBASC service is independent from the school and the Department of Education but works closely with the school principal on day to day coordination.
JEBASC has been operating since April 1990 and is an incorporated body retaining responsibility for its financial management, work health and safety and children's programs. JEBASC has a constitution and is managed by a parent Executive Committee.
The JEBASC achieved a very significant milestone in 2014. The industry is assessed against a National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care. The centre is assessed against the Framework to strive towards continuous improvement against the agreed industry standards. The Framework requires assessment against seven Quality Areas, 18 Standards and 58 Elements. The JEBASC met every criteria satisfactorily with no recommendations for improvement for any aspect of its operation. This is very much to the credit of the staff for their continuous efforts to make your children's time at the centre a safe, interactive, educational and enjoyable experience.
Jannali East Before and After School Care provides an important service to the Jannali East Public School community.
